Berlin Christmas Holidays 2025-2028 (Official Dates)
Below are the official dates for the Christmas school holidays in Berlin for the 2025/2026, 2026/2027, and 2027/2028 school years. Please note that four schools have their own school schedules (see the last section).
- 2025-2026 – from December 22 (Monday), 2025 to January 2 (Friday), 2026.
- 2026-2027 – from December 23 (Wednesday) 2026 to January 2 (Saturday) 2027.
- 2027-2028 – from December 22 (Wednesday), 2027 to December 31 (Friday), 2027.
Christmas holidays 2025-2028 in Berlin (real dates)
Children in Berlin attend school from Monday to Friday. Schools are closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Therefore, if school breaks occur immediately before or after the Christmas holidays, the actual break time for schoolchildren will be as follows:
- 2025-2026 – from December 20 (Saturday) 2025 to January 4 (Sunday) 2026.
- 2026-2027 – from December 23 (Wednesday) 2026 to January 3 (Sunday) 2027.
- 2027-2028 – from December 22 (Wednesday) 2027 to January 2 (Sunday) 2028.
Christmas holidays in schools with their own academic schedule
Unfortunately, not all educational institutions set their academic schedules several years in advance. Therefore, we present the information we currently have. Below are the start and end dates of the Christmas holidays at four schools with their own academic schedules.
Berlin State School of Ballet and Circus Arts – from December 20, 2025 (Saturday) to January 3, 2026 (Saturday).
French High School – from December 22, 2025 (Monday) to January 2, 2026 (Friday).
John F. Kennedy School:
- 2025-2026 – from December 22, 2025 (Monday) to January 2, 2026 (Friday).
- 2026-2027 – from December 21, 2026 (Monday) to December 31, 2026 (Thursday).
Berlin State Technical School:
- 2025-2026 – from December 23, 2025 (Tuesday) to January 3, 2026 (Saturday).
- 2026-2027 – from December 23, 2026 (Wednesday) to January 2, 2027 (Saturday).
- 2027-2028 – from December 22, 2027 (Wednesday) to December 31, 2027 (Friday).
