Germany consists of 16 federal states, but only 15 of them observe Easter holidays. Hamburg observes spring break instead, so it doesn’t coincide with Easter. Schools in Hamburg are closed on public holidays, so children and teachers have the day off from Good Friday through Easter Monday.

In the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the Easter break dates for vocational schools often differ from those of regular schools. The difference is usually no more than two days. This publication lists both options.
